Each vintage we taste dozens of domaines to represent 'La Chapelle du Marin' and despite the change of domaine some years, this name remains the same. This vintage we selected the 2008 from Domaine des Pentelines (meaning 'gentle slopes') primarily for its charm. It's an appealing forward, ripe, characterful 'violet' Grenache with a breadth of spice from Syrah and Mourvèdre - the epitome of a friendly Côtes du Rhône.
