On the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, the heritage of Ripon Cathedral dates back to the 7th Century. Links to the original Church of St. Wilfrid are found in the only complete Saxon Crypt in the country. The beautiful building is considered one of the finest cathedrals in Britain. It is thought to have inspired medieval artists, Lewis Carroll - the Author of ''Alice in Wonderland'' and the famous war poet Wilfrid Owen. But, the Jewel in Ripon's crown is a simple 7th Century Saxon clasp discovered close to the Cathedral quite recently. Alcohol 5.8% Vol
