Heating Guidelines
1. Pan of Simmering Water
All of these pre-cooked dishes are adapted to this technique, which is recommended.
Place the pouch into simmering water, frozen or refrigerator thawed. NEVER BOIL THE WATER. Remember, the food is already perfectly cooked. All you are doing is re-heating it gently. Anything more may impair the texture and flavours.
Frozen single portion 14 minutes, Frozen multi portion (1kg) 19 minutes. Thawed single portion 8 minutes, Thawed multi portion (1kg) 14 minutes.
If you are re-heating a number of pouches, use a large saucepan and allow slightly longer.
2. Microwave
In order to maintain the quality of the products do not use a micro-wave more powerful than 750 watts. Puncture a single pouch with two holes and reheat directly from frozen for about 4 minutes or about 2 minutes after thawing.
A good way to tell whether your food is ready is to pick up a pouch, using heat protection for your hands, and check its temperature and that it is not still hard.
Do not be afraid of pinching/feeling the pouches gently, and moving the contents inside, to check and make sure they are heating up thoroughly.
Remember, gentle re-heating is the key.
Warning - After cooking contents will be HOT.
